How many times have you thought about doing something different, only to talk yourself out of it before you even began?

This quote really makes you think. 🤔

Most of us spend a lot of time thinking about what we want our future to look like.

More options.
More flexibility.
More control over our time.
Maybe even a completely different direction someday.

But here’s the interesting part…

The future isn’t built someday. It’s being built in the little things we repeatedly do today.

For us, one of those habits has been learning. 📚

Learning new skills.
Learning about online business.
Learning how to create content.
Learning from mentors and other business owners.
And yes… learning from the things that don’t work too. 😂

None of those individual things feels particularly life-changing in the moment.

But stack enough small actions together, consistently, and you may be surprised where they can eventually take you.

That’s one of the biggest things this journey has taught Trudy and me:

You don’t have to have your entire future figured out.

Sometimes you just need to decide what you’re going to start doing differently today. 💡

We’re learning and building as we go — and that’s actually one of the things we appreciate most about this business. ❤️

We don’t have to figure everything out alone.

🍦 “The ice cream man is coming! Mom! Mom!” 😂

If you know the Eddie Murphy bit, you probably just heard that in his voice. 🤣

Apparently, I’m supposed to stay away from ice cream because it’s the enemy…

But the Bible says love your enemy. 😇🍦

Okay… maybe that’s taking Scripture slightly out of context. 😂

But it got me thinking…

How often do we treat something new like the enemy simply because we don’t understand it yet?

A different way of doing business.
Learning new skills.
Using social media differently.
Building something on the side of what you already do.

It can be easy to say, “That’s not for me,” before you’ve even looked at what “that” actually is.

That’s why Trudy and I started by doing exactly what everyone else does — we watched the workshop, learned how the business worked, and then decided whether it made sense for us.

No blind leap.
Just look before you leap. 👀

Because sometimes the thing you’ve been keeping at arm’s length might be worth learning a little more about.

And sometimes…

Our Story

We’re Chris & Trudy — a married couple who started looking at life a little differently.

For most of our lives, we followed the path many people were taught to follow: work hard, be responsible, pay the bills, save what you can and hopefully one day have enough time and freedom to really enjoy life.

There’s nothing wrong with working hard. We believe in it.

But eventually we started asking ourselves a different question:

What if working hard isn’t the only option?

We realized that years can pass incredibly quickly while you’re busy working, commuting, paying bills and taking care of everything life puts in front of you.

And time is one thing you can never earn back.

That realization became a big part of why we started exploring the online world.

In January 2026, we decided to step outside our comfort zone and start learning something completely new.

We didn’t come into this as social-media experts.

We weren’t professional marketers.

We certainly didn’t have everything figured out.

We were simply two ordinary people willing to learn new skills and see whether those skills could create more options for our future.

And there has definitely been a learning curve. 😅

We’ve learned about digital marketing, content creation, social media, automation, AI tools and building an online presence. We’ve also learned that building something of your own requires patience, consistency and a willingness to keep learning.

That’s really what this page is about.

We share what we’re learning, what we’re trying, what works for us, what doesn’t, and some of the lessons life teaches us along the way.

You’ll also see plenty of us here.

Our marriage. ❤️
Our dogs. 🐾
Our everyday lives.
Our challenges.
Our laughs.
And probably the occasional blooper. 😂

Because we don’t want this page to look like a perfect highlight reel.

It’s our real journey.

Our goal isn’t to convince everyone to do what we’re doing.

It’s simply to show people that there may be more options available than they realize—and that you’re never too old, too inexperienced or too established in one path to learn something new.

We’re still building.

Still learning.

Still figuring things out.

But we’re glad we started.

Because sometimes changing your future begins with something surprisingly small:
