Looking at this picture, I think about how different things feel compared to when I first started.
When you first decide to become a pilot, you mostly think about the flying. You imagine yourself in the cockpit, taking off, seeing the world from above, and eventually wearing the uniform.
But as you go through the training, you realize there is much more to it.
There are early mornings, long days, exams you don't want to study for, flights that don't go as planned, and days when you wonder if you're really good enough. There are also small moments that make everything worth it a good flight, a lesson finally making sense, passing a test, or simply realizing that you're getting better.
I think that's what makes the journey meaningful. It's not just about reaching the end. It's about seeing how much you've changed along the way.
To anyone who's working toward becoming a pilot, or chasing any dream that feels far away right now: don't worry too much about how long it's taking. Just keep showing up, keep learning, and keep moving forward.
Someday, you'll look back and realize that you were already living the dream while you were still working toward it.
Still a long way to go, but I'm grateful for how far I've come. ✈️

Sometimes the best trips are the ones you never plan. One quick decision, file the flight plan, start the aircraft, and off to Halifax. ✈️ No itinerary, just adventure.
