AI can write the code. We teach your child to run the project. Coding, robotics and AI classes for ages 5โ€“18 at 18 centres across Ontario, Alberta and BC.

Small groups, human coaches, and published rules on how much AI your child actually uses.

When the coding unit arrives in your child's math class, it will not be the first time they have seen it.

The Ontario elementary mathematics curriculum contains a coding strand - Strand C, section C3 - in every grade from 1 through 8.

In Grade 1 that means code "that involves sequential events". By Grade 4 it is "sequential, concurrent, repeating, and nested events". By Grade 7, efficient code involving sub-programs and other control structures.

We are not a tutoring service and we do not teach the school syllabus. What we do is give your child hands-on practice at exactly the skill their teacher will be assessing - with a robot and a game instead of a worksheet.

Before they can read a line of code, they can think like a coder.

Junior Thinker is where a five, six or seven-year-old writes their first program - by dragging pictures, not typing words.

They build a game they can actually play. A story that moves and talks. A robot that follows their instructions.

And along the way they are practising the exact thinking a math class asks for: put the steps in the right order, spot what went wrong, try again.

Honestly: a five-year-old is not building artificial intelligence, and any program that tells you otherwise is selling something. What they do at this age is meet AI as a tool. They type a sentence, hear a robot say it out loud, and notice it says exactly what they typed - including the typo.

We would rather build that properly at five than impress you with a word.

Five steps, in order - and at every stage your child knows exactly which one they are on.

Most programs either avoid AI completely or imply your nine-year-old is building something like ChatGPT. We do neither.

By the end, your child will have trained real AI models, built a text generator that works like ChatGPT in miniature, run a private AI on a laptop, and - most importantly - be able to explain how all of it works.

Ask one of our students to explain how their AI learns. That is the whole point.

"Is the free trial a sales pitch?" No. It is a real class. Your child picks a project, builds it, and shows you what they made at the end. No tests, no pressure, no credit card. Ages 5-18, in person and online.

A parent asked us this last week, and it is the right question to ask.

AI can write code. It cannot decide what is worth building, it cannot tell working from broken, and it cannot imagine what your child imagines. Every one of those judgements still belongs to a person - and the person who can make them is the one who understands what the code is doing.

So that is what we teach for. Breaking a big problem into pieces small enough to build. Reading an error message as a clue rather than a verdict. Understanding how software and AI actually work underneath. And, later on, directing AI tools and checking their work instead of trusting them blindly.

The children who will struggle are the ones who can only prompt. We are not training those.
