✨ The End of an Era: Saying Goodbye to École Providence ✨

Today was a bittersweet day as we closed the doors of École Providence for the final time. While it is hard to say goodbye to a place that has been a second home to so many, we made sure our very last day was one we will never forget! 💙💛

We sent our amazing school community out with the ultimate celebration:
⚽ The Morning Showdown: We kicked off the day with a high-energy Students vs. Staff soccer game! There was plenty of running, laughing, and friendly rivalry on the field.
🚒 The Ultimate Water Fight: In the afternoon, we cooled off with an epic water gun fight, made even more legendary thanks to a visit from the local fire truck! Everyone got absolutely soaked, and the gym field was filled with non-stop smiles and laughter.

Thank you to the generations of families, students, and staff who made École Providence such a special, loving place over the years. The building may be closing, but the memories, friendships, and Providence spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Thank you for everything! 🕊️✨

As another school year comes to a close, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our dedicated staff for the care, compassion, and commitment you bring to our schools each day.

Thank you for sharing your gifts, living your faith, and helping our students learn, grow, and become the people God has called them to be. Your work makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students and families.

As summer begins, may God bless you with a season of rest, renewal, and joy. We pray you enjoy a safe, peaceful, and well-deserved summer break. Thank you for all you do, and we look forward to another wonderful year together.

We want to give a massive shoutout to Abigail Mason, Kristen Mason, Jordan Taylor, Alissa Tanguay, Sharlene Lambert, Sheena Valiquette, and Norma Chalifoux for achieving their Long Service milestones! Our hearts (and stomachs!) are full after an amazing day at École Providence! 🌟

Yesterday was all about celebrating our fantastic students and connecting with their families. We kicked things off with our Open House, where parents and guardians got a firsthand look at our classrooms. Next, we got to relax and catch up over a delicious Family Lunch together. Finally, we gathered in the gym to honor the incredible dedication and achievements of our students at the Awards Ceremony!

Thank you to everyone who helped put this day together, and to all the families who made the time to join us. We are so proud of our Providence family! ✨🏆

The staff really put their agility to the test yesterday with a full marathon of games! We kicked things off with an absolute blast playing against our youngest athletes from ECS to Grade 3, and then the energy ramped up even higher when the Grades 4-8 students hit the court.

It was amazing to see everyone—from the littlest participants to our oldest students—bringing their best moves and big smiles to the gym. The laughs, the dodges, and the spirit in the room were just electric.

Thanks to all our students for being such great sports and to the staff for being such good sports right back!

🎐In the Gr 3/4 Art classes, they made wind chimes, some hand-sewn animals, and created bowls from recycled egg cartons!

🪡For the After School Activity, students made tote bags, after learning how to use a sewing machine!

Our ECS to grade 4 students had an amazing time at the Falher Splash Park and slide during their field trips in June. Students enjoyed cooling off in the water, and making wonderful memories together. There were plenty of smiles and laughter as they zipped down the slide. Every moment was a memorable adventure.

Last Friday, our school community had a wonderful celebration for National Indigenous Peoples Day.

We were incredibly honored to welcome Paula Calliou and Jackie Belcourt from Treaty 8 Urban Child and Family Services. They graciously shared the beautiful and powerful Tipi pole teachings with our students, offering us all a deeper understanding of the values, history, and traditions connected to the Tipi.

The learning didn't stop there! After the teachings, our creative students rolled up their sleeves to decorate and build an amazing Tipi craft of their very own.

Thank you so much to Paula and Jackie for their time, wisdom, and leadership. It was a beautiful day of learning, culture, and community that our students won't soon forget!
