To know Seonag Buxton is to know someone who gives 100% to everything she does. From inspiring the kids and all of us at Taigh Sgoile to launching incredible projects like our FilmG submission and her early-reader book scheme, and embedding herself deeply in our community, her time at Taigh Sgoile na Drochaide and more widely in Mabou has made a lasting impact.

Earlier this month, we held a Film G awards red carpet event for the stars of our short film Dòmhnall agus na Sìthichean. We are so proud of them for being finalists in the under-12 category, and the only international entry. 59 films were submitted, but only 4 were in the shortlist. Mealaibh ur naidheachd!! Well done!

The team at Toast and Tea in Hillsborough has heard about Taigh Sgoile’s success in making a short Gaelic Film and becoming a finalist in the FilmG Competition. They are planning on making Toast and Tea special for the students this coming Tuesday, June 30th at 9:00 am. It will be a star-studded beginning to Mabou Ceilidh Days!

Dihaoine! This Friday Gaelic Playgroup will take place at Beinn Mhàbu in the Community Room at 10 am. Hope to see you and your littles there!

Our last Gaelic Playgroup before the summer break is happening at Beinn Mhàbu this Friday, June 26th from 10:00 - 11:00 am in the Community Room. Come and join in the fun with some singing, playing, snacks and crafts! It's FREE of charge and all are welcome. Designed for ages 0 - 4 and their caregivers.

Join us on Wednesday, June 10, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

You can drop your child off at 9:00 am and pick them up at 12:00 pm, or stay with us for lunch. If you stay, your child can join in lunchtime play while you have the chance to meet our teachers, tour the school, and ask any questions about Primary life.
