We've had some incredible dogs step into our training field. Zeppelin is one of those dogs that carry a lot of protective instincts, but also responded exceptionally to training. This made him an absolute pleasure to see his progress during training. Way to go Zeppy and owners!

Place training is such a vital skill to learn for dogs. This works on impulse control, emotional regulation and gives them boundary training for a more reliable pup! We truly love seeing dogs master this from pet cots, the car and household thresholds and more...

'Place' is a generic term/word used for I want you to go there and stay there until I release you.

This has come in handy for so many daily situations - like barn work - teaching Vykor to stay on the hill, versus running with the horse when she's first let out, or while I turn on or off the fence for Blue (my horse) - keeping him on a boundary while I feed the chickens (yes, we have a small farm... lol) or impulse issues where there may be a dog passing behind me when going to let him out of the truck - he has to stay in the vehicle or crate on command, even with the doors open.

This establishes a boundary that is so clear and utterly useful!

Target teaching -the custom dog box can be used for place, through, refining tight turn movement, sit-stay, down-stay, stand-stay target behaviour as well as teaching object guarding for those in protection sports.
