If AI can personalise learning at scale, how do we make sure it truly reflects the needs of the communities it serves? 🤔

Through our work across Sub-Saharan Africa, Whizz Education has seen the potential of adaptive learning to create more personalised experiences. But technology alone isn't enough. Meaningful impact comes from understanding local contexts, listening to educators and learners, and involving communities in shaping the solutions.

Our contribution to the RAi FATES of Africa research project explores how AI can support education in ways that are effective, ethical, and locally relevant.

In this first video of our two-part series, Dr. Nora McIntyre explores how technology, education, and equity intersect across Sub-Saharan Africa, and why meaningful change starts with listening.

As a co-investigator in the FATES of Africa project, Whizz Education is proud to contribute to research that places local knowledge, lived experience, and African leadership at the centre of the conversation.

Having worked alongside educators, schools, and partners across Africa for more than a decade, we know that meaningful educational change doesn't start with technology. It starts with listening.
