I see you.

Somewhere along the way, “doula” became a job description that apparently includes watching families fight battles they should never have to fight.

I’ve stood beside a client while she was labelled as having “no support” — while I was literally there, staying for days so her baby in the NICU was never alone.

And I get the messages:

“My provider doesn’t listen to me.”
“Why is social work always involved when I go in?”
“I’m scared to tell them how I’m actually feeling.”

I see the patterns. I see how race, income, mental health, disability, family structure, and social circumstances can affect how parents are perceived and treated within healthcare.

Parents shouldn’t have to prove they’re “good enough” to deserve compassion and support.

And while advocacy was never exactly listed under “doula duties”… here we are.

I’ll keep standing beside you. Helping you find your voice. Helping you understand your options. Reminding you that you deserve to be heard, respected, and supported.

Because you shouldn’t have to fight this hard to be believed.

Apparently I accidentally took a social media sabbatical. 😅

I haven’t posted in a while, but I promise I didn’t disappear.

I’ve been busy supporting clients, attending births, helping families navigate pregnancy and postpartum, and spending a lot of time fighting systems that seem determined to make things harder than they need to be.

The last few months have been filled with advocacy, resource hunting, paperwork, phone calls, problem solving, emotional support, and all the behind-the-scenes work that nobody really sees when they think about what a doula does.

It’s been exhausting, rewarding, frustrating, beautiful, and everything in between.

While this page has been quiet, the work hasn’t stopped. If anything, it’s been one of my busiest seasons yet.

Thank you for sticking around while I put my energy where it mattered most, into the families I have the privilege of supporting.

I’m back, and I’ve got lots to share. 💕

Everyone loves the idea of being a Doula until they realize how heavy this work can be.

This isn’t just birth support. It’s advocacy, it’s witnessing, it’s holding people through some of the most vulnerable (and sometimes traumatic) moments of their lives.

It’s fighting systems, pouring from your own cup, and still showing up with everything you’ve got.

And somehow… it’s still worth it. 🤍

If you’re a doula, I see you. If you’re thinking about becoming one, this is your reminder to go in with your eyes open and your heart protected.

Your body is not separate parts doing separate things
It is one connected system and your ovaries are part of that conversation in a much bigger way than we were ever taught

Your nervous system
your hormones
your stress
your cycle

They are all talking to each other all the time

And honestly when you start to see your body this way things start to click in a completely different way
You stop fighting your body and start understanding it

This is something I’m really passionate about as a doula because I see how much changes when people feel connected to what their body is doing instead of confused by it

2026 books are finallyyyyy open 🥹🤍

I’m a little late posting this because life lol, but my April to December 2026 due dates are officially open open.

I cap my months at 1 to 2 clients so I can truly pour into each family. No overbooking, no divided attention. I do not believe in overbooking and under delivering. When I am with you, I am fully with you.

If you’re expecting in 2026 and want a doula who feels more like a calm, familiar presence than a stranger in the room, I would love to chat.

Three years ago, my world cracked open in ways I never expected.

This week is my traumaversary, and instead of pushing through it, I’m slowing down to reflect on the distance between who I was then and who I am now.

Healing looks like rest. Growth looks like boundaries. And survival looks like choosing yourself again and again. Proud of how far I’ve come.
