To all our teachers at STAR Catholic, thank you for the many ways you care for our students. The time you take to teach, to explain, to notice a student’s effort or offer a word of encouragement means more than you may know.

Through your teaching and your example, you help students grow in knowledge, confidence and faith. Thank you for helping them discover their God-given gifts and making our schools places where they feel welcomed and valued.

Today, we celebrate you and the difference you make every day!

Today, September 30, STAR Catholic Schools recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

Throughout September, students and staff engaged in meaningful learning about the history and legacy of residential schools, Indigenous cultures and perspectives, and the importance of reconciliation.

Through stories, conversations, Treaty education, and opportunities to learn from Indigenous voices, we are helping students build understanding, empathy, and respect while honouring survivors and remembering the children who never returned home.

Every Child Matters🧡

Staff also heard the voices of students from across STAR Catholic, who shared their own reflections on family, community and how they experience God’s love in their lives.

STAR Catholic staff came together at Father Leduc Catholic School for our annual Staff Reflection Day, a day centred on faith, connection and community.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Encounter God’s Family,” staff had an opportunity to reflect, pray and spend meaningful time together as one STAR Catholic family.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special.

Staff from the STAR Catholic Centre for Education recently gathered at the Leduc Golf & Country Club for our Staff Retreat.

The afternoon included lunch, time together as a team and a driving range session with golf pros. Whether seasoned golfers or trying it for the first time, staff had plenty of opportunities to learn, laugh and connect outside of the office.

Thank you to everyone who made the afternoon such an enjoyable one!

Thank you to the St. Augustine families and community members who participated in our recent Community Consultation in Ponoka.

Families shared valuable feedback as we explored a potential new structure for St. Augustine School (St. Augustine Catholic School). Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and shared their perspectives as we consider the future of the school community.
