Part of coming out with a new textbook edition includes one of my favourite traditions: The UFV Alumni Textbook Party 🎉! Part of this tradition, is a picture with one of the University of the Fraser Valley’s finest, Whitney Fordham, which is featured throughout our website. The image is intentionally placed next to a segment that discusses our commitment to education.
The UFV Alumni Association has continuously committed themselves to the growth of their alumni and the learners studying at UFV; as an organization, this commitment is something we we believe in as well. We want all of our learners to learn, adapt, and succeed with AI, positioning them as leaders in a world that is increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence.
As an author, being able to go back to the institution that I learned at for so many years and share my knowledge is such a blessing. I look forward to our continued growth alongside UFV and the Alumni Association!

We are incredibly excited to announce our educational partnership with the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce in an effort to help their members learn, adapt, and succeed with AI!
This partnership has included two in-person AI workshops over the past year, along with the launch of our Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course, with the intention of making AI education accessible to all their members.
We are always happy to support the Langley Chamber of Commerce and their team with new AI initiatives, training, and resources!

Version two of the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence textbook is here 🥳! Version two improves on the strong foundation we set with the original text and welcomes seven new experts and their insights (for a total of 13).
This was a huge undertaking, and I am incredibly thankful for our team at the Canadian AI Advancement Institute for all their hard work and effort. This took a village, and I am so grateful for both Ben our graphic designer and Madeleine our editor.
I am also incredibly grateful to the experts that shared their insights with us: Revan MacQueen, Patrick Tammer, Mariami T., Aze Alter, Keith Jansa, Frincy Clement, Matthew da Mota, Ph.D., Keenan Beavis, Mark Hobbs, Sireesha Chavali, Daryl Hatton, Derek Froese, and a representative from OpenAI.
We are very pleased to have your support and the opportunity to share your knowledge with our learners.
So happy that we were able to accomplish this milestone together. Working with all these incredible people has been a blessing.
I can’t wait to see what comes next as we persue our mission to help Canadians learn, adapt, and succeed with AI.
