You never know what's going to light up the eyes of a student! Some forgotten books led to this simple scale/improv activity and by the end she was figuring out the pattern of the circle of 5ths all by herself,and so excited to get creative with improv duets in each key. So fun seeing something click and make sense and create enthusiasm😊

Congratulations to each and every student who took part in the Lacombe Music Festival over the past few days! We are so lucky to have such a great festival in our community. Over the next few days you can still enjoy performances in many other disciplines such as voice,fiddle and band. Tommorrows the day! After much hard work students of UCMA will be presenting their duets and collaborations.🎶
That's a wrap on the piano portion of the Lacombe Music Festival! How lucky we are to have this local festival available to us and all the learning opportunities it gives to our young musicians. Very proud of all the hard work put in and nerves overcome. There was so much beautiful music from this stage the last few days. Be sure to check out the Grand Concert this Sunday at St. Andrews United Church!
