Dene High Grade 7,8,9 Dene Teachings

Another beautiful week out at Adam’s point with these wonderful students. Lots of fun to end the winter cold!

Our high school 2024/25 king trapper once again came out to share valuable skills with the youth.

Learning hard work and dedication, through physical activity from chopping down a pine for firewood, to warming up around a fire while sipping on warm tea and hot chocolate.

What an inspiring day with Ms Ronalda Park on 25th November 2025 in Mr James Li's and Mr Randy Mallory's classes! ✨

She shared her powerful journey of overcoming odds and going back to school again to earn her Grade 12 and become an EA; and attaining her dreams of providing a safe haven to her family and friends.

Her message to our students is clear: Resilience, education, and believing.
"If I can do it, you can do it!"
"Nobody will do the work for you, you've got to do it for yourself!"

Dene high school students were out on the land learning about the importance of our Dene traditions. Through out the week our main focus was the understanding and significance of our land. The unique nature of our culture that defines our true spirit! Thank you for the students who participated in this shared cultural experience!
