Summer success often starts with spring practice.
From tolerating sunscreen and life jackets to building independence with outdoor routines, small everyday experiences can help children feel more confident and prepared for summer activities.
In our newest blog, we explore how meaningful functional skills from the Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS) can be naturally embedded into family routines, gardening, camps, community outings, and outdoor play for children.
At bitKIDS, we believe the most meaningful goals are the ones connected to real life and the experiences families value most.

We were proud to attend EMERGE 2026 at The Galt Collective in celebration of the Bachelor of Interior Design graduating class at Conestoga College.
Our Operations Coordinator, Jill Bernhard, had the opportunity to support Selah Robaillard’s capstone project in an advisory role—an innovative concept for a neurodiverse learning and therapy centre.
What stood out most was the flexibility of the space and how thoughtfully it responds to the individuality of each user. Selah quickly grasped that no two learners experience environments the same way—and translated that into a design that adapts, supports, and empowers.
We’re inspired by the future of inclusive design and grateful to be part of conversations that are shaping more accessible, responsive spaces.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026

Spring is here—and so are more opportunities to explore the outdoors!
At bitKIDS, we’re sharing how ABA strategies can support essential outdoor safety skills like street safety, responding to “stop,” and staying aware in the community. These small, teachable moments help build big independence and confidence for our learners.

Today, we celebrate Autism Acceptance 💙
At bitKIDS, we believe acceptance goes beyond awareness—it’s about creating spaces where every child feels understood, supported, and valued for who they are.
Autistic individuals bring unique perspectives, strengths, and ways of experiencing the world. Our role is not to change who they are, but to meet them where they are, build meaningful connections, and support their growth in ways that honour their individuality.
Acceptance looks like:
✨ Listening and learning
✨ Adapting environments
✨ Celebrating differences
✨ Building inclusive communities
Let’s continue to move from awareness to true acceptance—today and every day.

Flexibility is a key strength of great ABA teams.
At bitKIDS, our team adapts each day to support our learners and their families—covering sessions, sharing resources, and responding to what children need in the moment so learning can continue.
Strong teams stay flexible so kids can keep moving forward.
