Sculption School of Pottery

Sculption School of Pottery Pottery classes for adults! Obtain a solid foundation of skills in working with clay!

Sculption pottery studio began as a part of the Creative Enterprise Initiative Studios in Uptown Waterloo. The owner/instructor, Sally Pfeiffer-Harangozo has been part of the Waterloo Potters' workshop for over 20 years. She loves to share her experience as a Potter and see students grow in their skills and knowledge of clay. Her students have developed their skills to a level where they have sold some of their own pottery!

“Since 2023 I have completed four classes at Scupltion School of Pottery. I find pottery to be a way to slow down and focus on the moment, which can be very rewarding. I now have a home studio that I use to create all my pieces!” Sunflower & Stone

“I started pottery during my maternity leave in 2024 as a way to get out of the house, and was immediately hooked! I have been taking frequent wheel classes with Sally since then, and have recently started handbuilding at home too. I love interior design, and being able to make functional and decorative pieces for my home has been such a fun experience!”

It’s been very rewarding to be part of your pottery journey and be with you right at the beginning when disappointments were frequent and you were just learning the basic steps! Way to not give up!! Love the smiles in these photos. Thank you!

If you are still in the sad and frustrating stage of pottery…it gets better! I’d love to help you get to where you love what you’re making! ~Sally

A new year, a new bird ornament! This is the pilleated woodpecker. If you’ve taken a pottery class with Sculption, you’ve probably heard the story of why there has been a new bird ornament for my neighbour across the street for the past 7 years!
