As Canada Day and July 4th approach and many of our bookstore partners will be enjoying extended weekend holidays, we want to inform everyone of the CEI support hours over the holidays. July 1 - 3, 2023 - Limited support, system will be monitored and emergency issues addressed.
July 4, 2023 - Part time support, regular system monitoring
July 5, 2023 - return to regular support hours.

We are receiving reports from a couple stores that the CEI ecommerce iframe is not displaying correcting for some Apple safari users. The list of course adoptions are not displaying so students are not able to search or make purchases. Permalinks or direct links are not affected. This is only affecting certain versions of safari with updated security settings. The easiest solution is for the customer to use a different browser like Chrome.

For users that want to use safari they will need to update their security settings. In previous versions of safari the default setting was to allow cross site tracking.

iphone/ipad IOS- Setting -> Safari -> Disable prevent cross-site tracking
MAC desktop - Settings-> privacy-> uncheck prevent cross-site tracking

The development team is researching a permanent fix for these new security settings

Here's some more things we < 3 about digital books.
1. You can use the search function to easily find the pages and key words that you're looking for.
2. Instead of carrying around multiple textbooks, save them to use offline wherever you want. Also, you can use multiple devices - whatever is convenient for you!
3. They're accessible! You can customize: text size, text & background colours (based on your lighting or preference), text to speech speeds, and dictionary features.
