The RMC Alumni Association joins the RMC Hockey Alumni community in mourning the sudden passing of 19884 Kevin “Mac” McNaughton, RMC Class of 1995. Kevin was a proud member of the RMC Redmen hockey program, playing four seasons in the Red and White from 1991–92 to 1994–95 and serving as team captain in his final year. Remembered as an inspirational leader, loyal teammate, and steadfast supporter of RMC Hockey, Kevin’s impact on the program and its alumni community was lasting and deeply felt.
Following his time at RMC, Kevin went on to complete pilot training in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where he was presented with his wings by his uncle, Retired Lieutenant-General Don McNaughton, a meaningful moment that reflected both his family’s proud tradition of service and his own commitment to the Canadian Armed Forces.
Kevin remained closely connected to the RMC Hockey family in the years that followed, supporting alumni events and the program he cared so deeply about. His legacy also continued through his son Brock, who followed in his father’s footsteps at RMC and served as captain of the hockey team as well.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kevin’s family, friends, classmates, teammates, and all those whose lives he touched. His leadership, generosity, and enduring commitment to the RMC community will be remembered with great respect and gratitude.
