This may trigger a LOT of the gym buffs 🤬

But the TRUTH is that fitness alone is a temporary fix!

So many of you use it as a way to cope with stress/anxiety, run from hard conversations. And that’s great because there are WAY worse ways to be leveraging it.

However, it only makes you feel good in the moment. You need to get to the root of the problem or it will continue to rise.

Make sure that your wellness routine goes beyond flexing in the mirror but also looking inward.

In moments that you get triggered instead of running out the door ask yourself a simple question, ā€œWhy did that arise? Where did it come from?ā€ This is what being a remarkable man is all about. Being courageous enough to lean into the true work. The inner work.

You become a pillar of health not just in your appearance but by the way you lead in any situation and how you make people feel when you’re around them. Calm. Collected. Confident.

You will NEVER find the answers in doom scrolling, binge watching or numbing out to bottomless beers šŸ»

Listen, I used to do ALL of these and I was pretty good at them too! 🤣

But the longer I turned to distractions, the more shame I felt due to wasted time. It just became a big nightmarish cycle that I couldn’t seem to break.

Frankly, I didn’t have the answers either.

Every high achieving individual that is truly thriving in their lives has implemented powerful, non-negotiable practices DAILY.

This is where PURPOSE comes from.

Morning routines, Meditation, Journaling & inner reflection 🧘

It’s hard to slow down, I get it.

It feels like we’re not being productive and we question ā€œhow can this serve me?ā€

Did you see results on your first sales call?

My guess it was awkward as hell.

How about your first time at the gym? Did you look like Arnie after? (Schwarzenegger in case you’re younger)

It takes repeatedly showing up for the mundane, even without immediate results.

The worst thing passed on in generationally is the opinion of society that a Man’s only value is so highly attached to what he can produce financially in his life. You can chase the almighty dollar and create massive financial abundance šŸ’° But eventually the kingdom will fall if you cannot be PRESENT as a leader in your business, in your marriage or as a Father. Learning to slow down and be focused on one thing or one person is an asset in this technological age. Business & Breathwork?

Two words I never thought would go together. I used to believe that Breathwork & meditation were "woo-woo". Until it saved my life.

In 2019 after getting Lyme disease. Doctors couldn't help me, antibiotics were tearing my body apart with no relief in fighting what was in my body. I had to take things into my own hands or keep tumbling physically and mentally into decline.

After working with a Shaman in Vancouver and having a spiritual unlock I was given a message that the only way to heal was through my own power. To become my own healer. And to bring it to the world.

I became obsessive researching the power of meditation & practicing myself everyday. Healing, one day at a time. Then I found the book "Feel to Heal" and was hooked on breathwork.

As I went back to work after a leave I realized how important it is for us to focus on the "human first" when it comes to performing in the roles we play in our lives. (CEO, Sales Rep, Husband, Father, etc.)

If we are not good as a human. All of these facets of our lives suffer (even though we may hide it for a while).

I have since worked with hundreds of men, integrating these tools and others into their daily lives. To avoid burnout and THRIVE.

Greatest path to purpose is PAIN šŸŒ…Story time….In 2020 I ā€œhad it allā€ The beautiful wife, the kids, our first house and a well paying job. Checked all the boxes of what society tells us will make us happy. I was empty and the only thing that mattered was others opinions of me. Searching for external validation wherever I could.Reaching for vices that temporarily made me feel alive. There was ā€œdis-easeā€ in my world and this is where Lyme disease entered it. In order to get to know yourself you must slow down enough to SEE yourself. The universe will force this if you don’t listen to the signs. To be the observer of self. Pain. Challenges. Obstacles. Are our greatest gifts. When you feel that discomfort, we must ask why? Where does the fear lay? Where is the teaching? When you find it, charge towards it. Reverse engineer that and get specific;- How many times/week- For how long?- What is your WHY?- Can you start going for a walk that many times a week now? - What can you start doing over the holidays to build the muscle? You will not achieve any change if you do not make it specific, actionable and create accountability. 3 Ways to create accountability;Find a friend that is stronger willed than you or already on the path that you can commit to showing up with. Breathwork is not all about deep trauma healing (though this helps your business too!) It is about finding where it can fit into your life functionally (everyday moments).Here are some ways I incorporate functional breathwork techniques;- First thing in the morning (Wake the body/mind) - Before the gym šŸ’Ŗ (basically pre workout) - During the gym (Fire the body up or slow heart rate)- Mid-Day boost (Natural coffee kick) ā˜•ļø - Pi**ed of at your partner, boss or friend?
