Courage for Youth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a safe
social culture in which youth and parents are supported to develop social
and emotional competencies towards success in school and life. Calling our youth up to courage by offering:

Social
Emotional
Ethical Competencies

Along with social and emotional learning, CFY programs are in alignment with the BC Health and Career Education rationale (K to 7).

“ To provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to be informed decision makers and make healthy and safe choices." Some of the skills we teach are:

• Identify characteristics of healthy relationships and unhealthy relationships

• Recognizing and responding to stereotyping, discrimination and bullying

• Assess the influence that peers and media have on individuals’ attitudes and behavior

• Identify strategies for safe use of wireless and online communications

• Strategies for decision-making and evaluating consequences

• Promote a safe and caring school community

CFY is incredibly grateful to in West Kelowna for their generosity and efforts. Thanks to their staff, volunteers, businesses, and all of you in the community, $31,276 goes directly to supporting youth right here in the Okanagan.
