One of the simplest ways to deepen children's learning is by extending their play.
What starts as a farm setup can quickly become a world of imagination when we add new materials, ask thoughtful questions, or introduce new challenges. Today, we expanded this farm experience by adding animals, people, and open-ended opportunities for storytelling and problem-solving.

As children play, they're developing language skills, creativity, social-emotional skills, and critical thinking—all while having fun.

Try extending play at home by:

There’s something special about learning and playing together in the great outdoors! Today, our Blossom Valley children enjoyed a variety of group games that encouraged teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and lots of laughter.

The sunshine is here, and we are so excited for all the outdoor adventures, water play, nature walks, and summer fun ahead at Blossom Valley! 🌈🍉🫧

As we spend more time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, we'd like to remind families to send their children with a few summer essentials each day:

🧢 A sun hat
🧴 Sunscreen (applied before arrival and labeled if sending extra)
💧 A labeled water bottle
👕 Weather-appropriate clothing
👟 Comfortable closed-toe shoes for outdoor play
🩳 A change of clothes (including extra socks)
🕶️ Optional: sunglasses for extra sun protection

Please make sure all items are clearly labeled with your child's name.
We can't wait to make wonderful memories, explore, learn, laugh, and enjoy a fantastic summer together! ☀️❤️

Today our little artists explored nature through a leaf printing activity! Using real leaves, paint, and colorful paper, the children created beautiful prints while developing their fine motor skills, creativity, and observation skills.

Butterfly Magic in the making! 🦋 The children used sponges and paint to create beautiful artwork that transformed into colourful butterflies.

🧩 Childcare Fun Fact: Building Skills Through Blocks!

Did you know that building with blocks is much more than just play? As children stack, sort, and create, they are developing important early math skills. Block play helps children learn concepts such as counting, patterns, symmetry, measurement, and spatial awareness. It also encourages problem-solving, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and persistence as they figure out how to balance and connect different pieces. Whether they're building a tower, a bridge, or an imaginative city, children are laying the foundation for future learning—one block at a time!
