A new set of banners is now up along the Artwalk in the Cultural District in downtown Kelowna.

Thank to you all of the artists who submitted their work for this project. Over the six years of this project we have shown the work of 91 artists!

This year’s artists include: Garvin LeBlanc, Sabhya Arora, Serena Bakx, Noah Dodman, Rain Doody, Georgie Goerz, Sierra Loewen, Julie Oakes, CJ Ozee, Phil Patrick, Jian Suniga, George Wertlen, Samantha Wigglesworth. Three banners using augmented reality (AR) are installed along the opposite side of the walkway by FCCS alumni Evan Berg, Kailee Fawcett and Sofie Lovelady.

Thank you to our installation team: Kaila, Sam, Myron and Shauna.
And Shout out to the Kelowna Art Gallery for letting us use the scissor lift to get them all installed.

The banner project, a partnership with the City of Kelowna , remains a unique and engaging way to expand access to exhibition space throughout the city.

These banners will be up all year until next spring, when we will replace them again! Go to blogs.ubc.ca/fccsartwork to see information on previous banners.

All artists are students, alumni, staff or faculty in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies
