Answer: Although the computer scores as you take the test, no official results will be available at the test center. (test centers do not have access to your results)

✅ You will receive your official results within 6 weeks of taking your exam.

✅ You’re not supposed to call the NCSBN, Pearson VUE Candidate Services or the test center for results. Just wait!

✅ If for some reason more than six weeks have passed and you haven’t received your results, contact BCCNM or CNO and they will help you!

Wednesday review! Endocrinology for the REx-PN® Regulatory Exam – Practical Nurse 🧐

A patient is experiencing the Dawn phenomenon. Which of the following best describes the cause of this phenomenon?

A. Hypoglycemia occurs in response to the bedtime insulin
B. Insulin will peak in the middle of the night, leading to a rebound hyperglycemia
C. Blood glucose lowers at 0500—0600 hours

These two complications are often mixed up and confusing to understand. Using a chart or graph is very helpful. Since insulin lowers blood sugar, “so much” insulin relates to hypoglycemia, whereas lower insulin “down insulin” relates to elevated blood sugar levels.
