A big thank you to UNBC Active Minds for visiting Twain Sullivan Elementary! Our students loved the hands-on Amazing Adaptations workshop and the opportunity to explore natural selection and evolution through engaging activities.

The presenters did a fantastic job making big scientific concepts click for our learners while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

We appreciate this memorable learning experience! 👏🏼

A huge thank you to A Rocha and BC Parks for providing an incredible learning opportunity for our students this month! 🌱

Several Twain Sullivan classes had the chance to visit Driftwood Canyon and participate in hands-on learning experiences focused on fossil records, local land history, and environmental stewardship. Through interactive activities and guided exploration students deepened their understanding of the rich natural history found in our region.

We are grateful to A Rocha and BC Parks for hosting these field trips and for providing transportation, snacks, fossil specimens, and meaningful learning activities that made the experience memorable.

The excitement and curiousity sparked during these visits have continued back in our classrooms as students build on their learning and make connections to our local environment and its history.

Thank you for investing in our students and helping bring learning to life!

Families, please enjoy scrolling a small sample of the amazing pictures we took to capture the days at Driftwood Canyon Provincial Park 😊
