Traditional games carry teachings of teamwork, strategy, movement, and connection that have been passed down through generations.

MESC is proud to announce the release of the Îyinîw Metawewina Teacher Resource, created to support educators in bringing traditional Indigenous games and culturally grounded learning into the classroom.

Ay-hay to everyone who contributed their knowledge, leadership, and time to help bring this resource to life.

❤️ ᓵᑭᐦᐃᑐᐃᐧᐣ Sâkihitowin – The Power of Love ❤️

Tânisi Maskwacîsak! As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, we are reminded of the teaching of Sâkihitowin — love.

Love begins with how we care for ourselves and grows through the kindness we share with others. When we lead with love, we strengthen our families, friendships, and community. 🌟

Sâkihitowin reminds us to:
✨ Be gentle and patient with ourselves
✨ Show care and support to those around us
✨ Lift one another up as a community
✨ Walk with respect for the land and our teachings

Love is more than a feeling — it’s how we show up for one another each day. Together, we continue to build a strong, caring community rooted in kindness and respect. ❤️
