life lately 🦋

a *lot* has changed since I first moved to Canada 9 years ago... let's normalize the day-to-day of living abroad. It doesn't always have to be a huge adventure. This is the point 🌏

1. always chasing elsa
2. summer snacks
3. new build visits 👀
4. our new front door
5. new ink for S 🌹
6. spiraling at drop-off, lots mom guilt and therapy
7. finding my pink again 🎙
8. willowtree farm is our fav
9. forever tidying, never clean
10. port perry fair 🎠
11. learning that I, in fact, hate golf
12. Toronto zoo adventures
13. family runs (3 sundays in a row, who are we)

It's been a *while* since I've released an episode of the New to Canada podcast... "Life", am I right? But I'm baaack for a super special chat with Baisakhi Roy, Editor of Canadian Immigrant 🍁

I started this show because I wanted to connect with and hear stories from other newcomers to Canada.

Happy Mothers Day (or "MUM" day as my well-trained Canadian husband calls it 💅🇬🇧)

Spent a maaagical morning at 's tulip festival 💐

I am beyond inspired by the mothers in my life...

My own, one of a kind, best friend.
My big, busy, beautiful Canadian family who've made this new country a true home.
My chosen mom village, watching our tiny newborns turn into toddlers and beyond, whilst supporting each other through it all.
. I am one lucky mum ❤️ you're all just the best. Hope you're all being spoiled rotten.

BELIZE 🇧🇿 🌴

As a local said to us: "in 5 years, this place gon' be Cancun!" 😆

Secretly, I hope not... it's so raw and untouched. Where in some countries, you just feel surrounded by other tourists and fancy hotels - In Belize, you actually feel like you're experiencing a different culture, meeting the locals, dancing to their music, and walking into their recommended family-run restaurants. We *loved* it!

We want to own property to escape the Canadians winters to within the next few years 👀 (watch this space) and this was a hot contender. English language speaking is a huge plus as well! My only hesitation? It still has a ways to go before word spreads and more young families choose to set up life there, set up internationals schools, etc. So patience and investment opportunity... or not quite for us in this season of our life? Who knows. But thanks to the Belizean people for an EPIC trip no matter what ☀️
