We believe in integrating children of different ages to work with each other. The younger children (in this video) are about 5 years old…learning communication and presentation skills that develop their confidence, their courage and their leadership skills.
During the making of this project (in this case learning about pulley systems), the older kids used skills of communicating to the younger ones with patience and kindness. It also helped them develop nurturing skills, guidance and discernment.
You see, when kids learn in an environment that puts them in scenarios where they have to critically think in order to achieve a desired outcome, they learn skills that cannot be taught by copying things off of a chalkboard.
Skills that come from the heart and lead to regulated little bodies and evolution of their brains.
We are so proud of our village children. ✨

When we allow children to express themselves, take initiative, lead …we give them the permission to step into their power and shine. Sometimes that’s through verbal communication, emotional regulation techniques, journal exercises, body movement, or going up to the board to apply what they’ve learned. ✨
Learning a new language can be tricky when it feels forced. Allowing each child to express what they’ve learned and how they interpret it, enforces their confidence and willingness to keep going.
Here at Mother Earths Learning Village, we encourage all children to step into their light and shine bright regardless of what they are learning ✨
There is something so magical about a calm, peaceful, non-rushed, cold winter morning slow drive in to your village learning complex. ❄️☃️ it feels like a winter wonderland, and although some days are really cold right now, the village community is full of warmth ✨

Nature-holistic kids aren’t “behind.”
They’re just not wasting childhood memorizing facts they can Google in 3 seconds. They’re out there learning how to think, self-regulate, problem-solve, communicate, and not crumble the second life gets messy.
🏫 Traditional school: “Sit still. Be quiet. Fit the mold.”
Nature-holistic school: “Move your body. Use your imagination. Become who you’re called to be.”
🍃 Kids who learn outside don’t just learn math… they learn how the world WORKS.
They know how to feel grounded, how to trust themselves, how to navigate real life — not just fill out worksheets inside the same four walls for 12 years.
🔥 THIS GENERATION DOESN’T NEED MORE PERFECT TEST SCORES. THEY NEED RESILIENCE, EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, AND CREATIVITY.
And guess what? Nature-holistic learning grows that faster than any standardized test ever will.
💥 If being “different” means choosing a school where your kid learns confidence, curiosity, and connection to the world — then yeah… we’ll proudly be the weird ones.

Letting children freely express themselves through art helps them feel empowered. It allows children to use their imagination and bring their soul to life through colours, textures and techniques.
Art is a huge part of learning and one we often stop diving into. We encourage kids to feel through their emotions using paintbrushes, sponges, fingers.
During Spanish, we played Spanish songs of different colours while we let them explore their creativity with paint.
And their work was magical.

Yesterday for Remembrance day, we took the village to the Legion to pay tribute to all who have served our country. The thing is, we want to remind our children that our veterans will never be forgotten, that they deserve our care and attention daily. Our love and compassion.
It was cold but the kids were troopers through the ceremony.

Last Friday we decided to take the kids skating and it was so much fun 🤍 the kids, teachers and volunteers had an amazing time.
Learning isn’t just about sitting in a classroom. Children learn by exploration, experiences and bonding. Skating brought out laughter, helping, compassion, teaching and learning within them. They got to help each other and learn from each other.
We love our fun Fridays 🤍

When we let kids learn through life — not just lessons — something magical happens. 🌿
They don’t just memorize, they feel.
They don’t just study, they wonder.
They don’t just grow taller — they grow wiser.
Learning isn’t only found in books or classrooms…
It’s in muddy hands, curious hearts, and quiet moments of discovery.
It’s in the way they ask “why,” fall, try again, and smile anyway.
Because every puddle jumped, bug caught, and fort built
is shaping a confident, curious, and connected soul.
They’re not just learning about the world —
they’re learning to love it. 🌤️

As the fall equinox arrived—where light and dark meet in perfect balance—we stepped into our first week of nature school. 🍂✨
Watching the kids wander through the forest, pause to notice the smallest details, and build their days around the rhythms of the earth has been a gift. Their laughter echoed between the trees, their bare hands touched soil and leaves, their hearts opened to animals with such gentleness. In those moments, we were reminded: Mother Earth is the greatest teacher. 🌎💛
The equinox reminds us that life is about balance—between work and play, stillness and movement, curiosity and rest. And this first week showed us that when children are given the freedom to explore, to listen, to connect, they discover wisdom far beyond what a classroom alone can teach. 🌿🐾
This season calls us to slow down, to root deeper, and to let wonder guide us. May their wide-eyed discovery be a reminder for all of us: to step outside, breathe in the changing air, and return to the earth that always welcomes us home. 🍁✨
