Green thumbs PSA: If you haven’t met our local garden nursery yet, D&L is a must visit! Their driveway sneaks up on you on Hwy 7 so put them into your GPS and you can’t miss them. They have a bit of everything, it’s all healthy, and their hanging baskets are worth the drive out. Then keep driving and come for lunch with us!

We found out that if you write “quiche” on your menu board in cursive, there is an entire generation of people who think we are selling quickies. So yes, we continue to write in cursive. (JK we actually printed it this time. Much less fun.) Either way, we have quiche today.

It’s the weekend so we have a delicious seafood chowder made from scratch for you and, by special request, lobster rolls are also available today. They always sell out so…..

If you’re visiting the area, we recommend a drive to Middle Musquodoboit via the Eastern Shore (highway 7 then 357) where you can meet some of our favourite local growers, farmers and restaurants. And Golden Valley Market, a place we admire. Speaking of admiration, we recommend checking in before leaving the city to be sure they are there, but Snail’s Pace Garden is a must-visit. We are smiling now thinking about your visit, be it a summer vacation to our ocean playground (or in this case, valley) or for a quickie day trip to see something new in your own back yard. Check out those marigolds!
