🌀In Somatic Experiencing, the “trauma vortex” is when your attention gets pulled into stress, tension, and everything that feels overwhelming.
🌀The “counter vortex” is the opposite. It is what feels safe, steady, or even just a little bit okay.
☘️🌎In a world that focuses on what’s going wrong, learn to “stay with the good”. I am not suggesting you ignore the hard stuff, but also give attention to what is actually working. ☀️🫣

Notice one thing that feels even a tiny bit ok. Now see if you can allow yourself to linger there for a few seconds longer than usual. Savour it!

💕🍃Almost 6 years ago, for my 50th birthday, I created something deeply personal...not just to celebrate a milestone, but to honor everything I had walked through to get there.
🙏The severe anxiety. The trauma. The seasons where I felt completely disconnected from myself. The moments I didn’t think I’d ever make it through.

There is a quiet expectation in today’s world, that professionals should always be visible online….posting, sharing, and staying in constant view.
☀️The work I do is different.
☺️It’s quiet, deep, and confidential. People trust me with parts of their lives that are private and vulnerable, and that trust is central to everything I do. My presence, focus, and care in these moments come from staying grounded, resourced, and fully present.
🧘🏻‍♀️The time I spend off social media isn’t absence, it’s preparation. I am tending to my own awareness and capacity so I can show up with clarity and integrity for the people I work with.
🔥Less visibility doesn’t mean less capability, in fact it can often reflect a deeper commitment to the work itself.
