The websites to book appointments for blood collection, X-Rays, EKGs (https://booking.nshealth.ca) and COVID-19 testing (https://www.nshealth.ca/coronavirustesting) Mental Health and Addictions, and STI appointment booking will be unavailable June 17 from 12 a.m. to approximately 6 a.m.

This is necessary for routine technology updates. Some services used by YourHealthNS may be unavailable for a brief period while servers are patched and rebooted. During this time, the public will be unable to book appointments on-line and Nova Scotia Health staff will be unable to view the calendar or book online appointments for these services.

🚧 MacKay Bridge Closure 🌉

The MacKay Bridge will be closed for scheduled maintenance and inspections from Friday, June 12th at 9pm until Monday, June 15th at 5:30am.

The Macdonald Bridge will remain open, but traffic delays are expected.

To help reduce congestion, we are offering free ferry service on Saturday and Sunday (no tickets required)! ⛴️

Please allow extra travel time and exercise patience with fellow drivers on the bridge. ☀️

The ICCA's Italian Language for Travel course starts June 29, 2026!

This course is for learners who already have some Italian (A2–B2 level) and want to feel genuinely confident using it while travelling. No grammar drills. No textbook stress. Just real, practical conversation practice for real travel situations.

You'll learn and practice things like:
✈️ Getting around - trains, taxis, airports
☕ Ordering at bars, cafés & restaurants
🛍️ Shopping for clothes, groceries & more
🏨 Booking hotels & accommodations
🚑 Handling emergencies, pharmacies & unexpected moments
💬 Everyday conversations & introductions

Classes run on Zoom - easy and flexible. The final class is in-person at the ICCA on August 31, where you'll put it all together with guided, travel-style conversation practice.
