It is not always popular because it drives many parents nuts... what is that ? Hearing "I'm bored!"

And it is one of the big reasons, we accumulate toys or put our kids on screens... because it stops the whining. However, it's been a while that psychologists and neuroscientist and many educators (like myself) say that boredom can be amazing if you let it happen.
To be exact it is not boredom that creates anything but it is the reaction we have when faced with boredom that can give an OPPORTUNITY for our brain to let ideas 💡 be free.

Last year I made a podcast episode on the subject and I am strong on my position that : when bored, my kids get creative, they craft, draw, decide to go out, play life, build forts, get the gym mats out or just dance it out.

Parent tip, boredom is the fertile soil for creativity, kids, parenting.

1st time in Philly
Went to Victoria BC
Went on farm week with HS students
Went camping with friends
Got married
Went to my 1st pro hockey game (Canucks)
Got pregnant

That was quite the year !!!

Only a few will get this feeling but it is pretty special. Snow feels personal, like it is a gift to tell me : "Slow down, enjoy Nature, get cozy, I am here for you."

We sometimes need the reminder.
We hyperfocus, scroll and forget to relax and realize this time of year is about slowing down, just a smidgen.

Today I woke up with serious dizziness... fast forward mid-day I identified the 4 episodes of dizziness as vertigo (new to me).

This evening, I have a migraine... my body is telling me to stop and relax. I have to listen to my body.

Stop. Unclench your jaw, relax your shoulders and breathe.
