In an industry built on looking out for the person working beside us, it's an important reminder that safety includes both physical and mental well-being. 🦺

During Construction Su***de Prevention Week, The Mainland Nova Scotia Building Trades recognizes the importance of mental health and wellbeing across our affiliated unions and among their members.

Let’s continue building a culture where people feel supported, conversations are welcomed, and reaching out is recognized as a sign of strength. 💪🏽

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 9-8-8. 📞

We extended a warm welcome to Milwaukee Tool as its US & Canadian senior leadership toured BTAC’s Beechville training centre today.

Our own IBEW Local 625 was selected as the training centre to visit as part of this special trip to Canada by Techtronic Industries CEO Steven Richman—Milwaukee’s parent company—and his team. We’re proud to see Local 625 represent the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and its strong nationwide partnership with Milwaukee Tool, and highlight how BTAC’s training model works.

Thanks to International Union of Painters & Allied Trades, Atlantic Canada Local 1439, Insulators Insulators JATC Local 116, Labourers International Union of N.A. Local 615, & Ironworkers Local 752 for showcasing their training spaces to Milwaukee too.
