On Monday August 17th was our last SUMMER SEWDAY. Time flies , next month were back to our monthly meetings and our sewdays.

It was a smaller turnout but merry and fun as usual.
Lots of projects and singing🎶🎵🎶 sewing machines.

Our eyes were treated to 2 BLOCK LOTTO quilts. Beautiful Shirley Kellar .

Our guild president , Vanessa Allan presented a quilt to Erica , representing West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, Ontario foundation. A prize for their
up coming Golf ⛳️Tournament. Good luck to all tge participants.

Kathy Hird shared her quilt top from the Canadian Quilt Row Robin. Simply stunning.

Lunch was fabulous including a peach 🍑cobbler.

We look forward to many exciting quilting adventures as our journey of 35yrs continues.

Hugs and Anniversary stitches ❤️🪡🧵

Monday July 20th was a much cooler day and the air easier to breathe in.

It was a full house at sewday. Fabrics hummed🎶🎵 thru machines and danced under rotary cutters. Some of it even got toasty warm at the ironing board.

So many different projects...hexies, selvedges and bears...lol.
Lunch was spectacular...a wide variety of 🥗salads -- crab🦀, Greek, pasta and even Mrs Brown’s Kitchen ABC salad(apple🍎,beets & corn🌽). It was amazing
Meatballs and a yummy brocoli 🥦chicken casserole too.
Dessert included lemon icebox pie, rhubarb pie and more.

A fabulous creative day of sharing food, fun and friendship. ❤️

Hugs and summer stitches ❤️🧵🪡🌞

It was a small gathering on Monday June 22nd but fun filled. We sorted our quilts , picking ones for donations. Labels were stitched on and sewing machines hummed.

Our eyes were treated to a couple completed quilts. Nancy's rag style Quilt-du-ko and Kathleen's donation quilt.

We played a the fq game...amazing how certain ones can travel back and forth...lol. We also played a round with jelly roll strips.

Lunch was fabulous, lots of salads🥗🥘🍲, a spectacular Buffalo chicken dip....then a strawberry🍓🍓 lasagne finished the meal off.

Hugs and summer stitches ❤️🧵🪡🌞

Welcome back to part 2 of our marvelous May meeting.

The trunkshow presented by our member Debbie Sisi Quilt Allan .
It was a highlight of Block of the months from early years of the guild. Workshops taken and ones she has taught. Program pieces that have been presented.
Also some quilts she tested for fellow designers.
Many are her original designs that led to having one published in Quiltmakers 100 blocks issue.
Her lime green, black and white Touch of Vegas quilt earned her 9th place in the McCalls quilting magazine new designer contest. The guild has made two of these, one with red and the other in turquoise... both donated to West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, Ontario for their fundraising.

I hope you enjoy this visual journey.

Hugs and stitches ❤️ 🪡🧵
