Mme Lonsdale's class had a fantastic day at Kivi Park on Monday. They enjoyed a hike to the Wishing Tree, with a pit stop to play a game of camouflage. After a picnic lunch students put their teamwork and communication skills to the test with an energetic game of capture the flag.
It was a wonderful day filled with adventure, cooperation, bug bites and smiles. Thank you, Kivi Park, for the experience!

We celebrated Canada Day Spirit Day with lots of fun, including special treats, exciting activities, and great prizes! Students showed off their Canadian pride by wearing red and white and participating in the day's festivities. It was a wonderful way to come together and celebrate Canada. 🇨🇦

Our Grade 6 students recently traded their classroom for the great outdoors as they took part in a hands-on bog restoration project right here in our community! Working alongside peatland restoration scientist Dr. Pete Whittington, Environmental Science teacher Colin Veevers, and student mentors from Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, students helped transplant native bog vegetation to support the recovery of a local wetland ecosystem. Along the way, they learned about biodiversity, carbon storage, and the importance of protecting natural habitats. We are so proud of our young environmental stewards and can't wait to see how the bog grows and changes in the years ahead!

Our Grade 6 students spent the day at Windy Lake enjoying a wonderful outdoor learning experience. They explored the trails, shared a picnic lunch, and helped harvest sphagnum moss from a bog. Tomorrow, they will continue their environmental stewardship efforts by replanting the moss in our local area.
