Because of piano ... I am able to teach children they are capable of creating music. Music is a beautiful, universal language. There’s exploration of sounds, and there’s disciplined learning of its language structure. I believe in a balance of both. My goal as a teacher is to give students the skills to become independent and strong music readers, as well as the aural and improvisation skills to be able to connect with other musicians as they venture into the vast world of music. As music can heal one’s soul, a crucial part of it is for sharing that healing and joy with others. I am a strong believer of developing confidence in one’s piano performance, and I provide these opportunities in a safe and supportive environment for all ages.
