The 2026 June Programs Calendar is packed with adventure at the Grande Cache Tourism & Interpretive Centre! 🌲☀️

From outdoor Cache Craft activities inspired by fur trade history to active games and hiking adventures, there’s something for all ages this month.

We’re also launching our brand-new hiking series: 3 Peaks, 1 Summer! 🥾 Our first hike heads up beautiful Mount Louis on June 23, come earn your first passport stamp with us!

Celebrating GCCHS for being recognized as one of Alberta’s prize winners in the 2026 Move Your Mood Mental Health Week School Challenge! 🎉

Throughout Mental Health Week, students and staff came together to promote wellness through movement, healthy habits, mindfulness, and connection. From affirmation activities to outdoor wellness experiences to hydration challenges, our school showed incredible enthusiasm and school spirit.

As a result of this participation, GCCHS received a $250 Sport Chek gift card that will go toward additional gym equipment and wellness supports for students. Great job, GCCHS! 💙💪

Celebrate with us! Did you know we supported 39 kids last year? This is an all time record for us! Help us with our goal to help 40+ kids in 2026!

📣Jump Into Summer – Summer Program Kick-Off Fair! Register your children and youth (ages 0–17) for exciting summer programs—all in one convenient place! A comprehensive summer program calendar, created in collaboration with local community organizations, will be available to help families explore all the amazing opportunities for children and youth programs in Grande Cache throughout July and August 2026.

When: Thursday, June 11, 2026
Time: 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Where: Grande Cache Recreation Centre – Curling Rink

✔️Enter to win a door prize filled with summer items!
✔️Beanz Playhouse will be set up to serve ice cream. $4 for a kiddie scoop and build your own sundaes for $6.

Last Friday, Summitview participated in the Move Your Mood Challenge with a Walk and Talk Connection! 🚶‍♀️☀️

Students and staff enjoyed getting outside, moving our bodies, and connecting together to support positive mental health.
