🌱 From Waste to Harvest 🌱

Big up to .golden for giving us tons of flour bags that are getting a second life in the greenhouse as biodegradable w**d suppression and moisture retention.

For years, Ethos has supported our farm by providing compost and purchasing our farm products. It's a great example of a true farm-to-table relationship coming full circle, food scraps become compost, compost grows food, and that food finds its way back to the community.

We're grateful to have businesses like Ethos investing in a stronger local food system. Thanks for helping us turn waste into harvest! 🌱🚜♻️

🌱 Probably about a month too late… but we finally some off the greenhouse planted. Tomatoes 🍅 onions 🧅 peppers 🌶️ basil 🌿 and kiwano are in the ground. Funny how a few tiny plants can turn into a jungle before you know it. Now the waiting game begins, hoping for a bountiful harvest 🙌

Elderberry tree is going crazy already 🌱🔥 Hard to believe this started as just a little twig in the ground a few years ago. Nature never stops amazing me. So many things you can do with elderberries… syrup, tea, jam, medicine, wildlife food...

Some days I feel overwhelmed. Like I’m far behind on everything. Financial pressure, equipment breaking down, and a hundred things needing attention all at once.

But then I stop and look around. I see everything we've already built with our own hands, every garden bed, every tree planted, every structure, every small step forward. And I realize we've actually come a long way.

That’s what keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward, no matter what! One day, one project, one step at a time. 🌱

🌲 A new chapter for Lone Pine 🌲

After registering the company, we found out that Lone Pine Farm wasn’t available in BC, so we settled on Lone Pine Gardens.

At first it was simply a practical change, but the more we thought about it, the more it felt like the right fit. We’re not building a large conventional farm, we’re creating something smaller and deeply connected to the land.

That feels close to what we’re trying to build: cultivated but wild, rooted but free.

Different name. Same philosophy.
Grow roots. Stand strong.

Rainy day but we kept pushing forward on the greenhouse build 🌧️💪 Bending pipes and making progress one arch at a time. Lost a whole day yesterday driving to Calgary just to get the pipes, but seeing it finally take shape makes it worth it. Slowly coming together at Lone Pine Gardens. 🌱

Apple blossom season at Lone Pine Farm 🌸🍎

One of the most beautiful times of the year around the orchard. These blossoms are the beginning of this season’s future fruit, and every tree is buzzing with life 🐝.

Hard to beat the views around the garden this time of year, fresh mountain air and flowers everywhere 🌼

Just started harvesting the garlic and they are amazing! Beautiful and juicy garlics available at the next Farmer's market (Wednesday at the growers collective stall)
