What a week in Délı̨nę.

Our innovators jumped into every challenge this year. They coded Photon robots, navigated mazes, built balloon-powered cars, programmed obstacle runs, and launched paper airplanes. Each one pushed them to try, fail, fix, and try again, and that's where the real learning happened.

A big thank you to Imperial for sponsoring this year's showcase and bringing students from all across the Sahtu together. Gatherings like this are special, and they don't happen without your support.

Mahsı to Ɂehtsʼéo Ayha School for hosting, and to SDEC for another unforgettable week of learning, building, and connecting.

Sahtu schools celebrated yet another STEM Innovators’ Showcase on May 6 2026. Thirty students demonstrated and participated in challenges that drew on their science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning and skills. Imperial Oil Norman Wells Operations donated $50,000 in support of Sahtu student success in STEM. Well done students! Keep wrestling with northern challenges and applying your innovation and creativity to find northern solutions!

Last December, students from Chief T’Selehye School participated in the Innovators Showcase: Across the North Edition! Sharing their creativity, ideas, and skills alongside students from across the Sahtú.

We’re proud to see our students’ work included in a showcase that highlights the talent and potential growing in our community.

This May, we’re looking forward to gathering in Délı̨nę for the fourth Innovators Showcase in person.

We’re excited to welcome all our students back — from JK to Grade 12 — and to start a new year of learning, growth, and community.

September attendance isn't just important. It determines funding for your local school. If your child will be away for a valid reason, call the school to let them know.
Excused absences don’t hurt funding, but unexcused ones do.

Let’s make sure every student starts strong and every school gets the resources they need.
