🌟 Higher Learning, Building Capacity 2026 - Day 1 Success!
Over 200 adult learners from Higher Learning, Sabtuan Adult Education, and Post-Secondary Student Services arrived Friday in Ottawa for the 2nd edition of the Higher Learning, Building Capacity Conference 2026!
✳️ Each student received a handmade ᓃᒨᑖᓐ niimuutaan — symbolizing the tools and strength they carry on their learning journey. We hope this 3-day conference adds even more to their packsack.
🪡 The niimuutaan were crafted in iiyiyiu aschii by a team led by Mary Sarah Shecapio (Mistissini) and Rebecca Ida Blackned (Waskaganish).

✨ Thinking about going back to finish your high school education?
Here are 3 reasons adult learners choose to return — and why it might be a good step for you too:
🌿 More Opportunities for Your Future
A high school diploma opens the door to better jobs, training programs, and career paths. It’s a strong foundation that helps you build the future you want.
🪶 Pathways to Trades, Post-Secondary Studies, and Skills Training
Whether you’re dreaming of the trades, healthcare, or post-secondary studies, your diploma is the key to taking that next step.
🔥 Pride, Confidence, and Community Strength
Finishing high school is a powerful achievement. It builds your confidence, sets an example for your family and friends, and strengthens your journey.

2026-2027 General Education applications are open.
