The night before commencement, a time for celebration and cheer,

Dear Elkford Secondary School Families and Community Members,

As we continue to navigate the ongoing water disruption affecting Elkford Secondary School and uptown, I would like to provide an important update regarding our Graduation Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026.

After carefully reviewing timelines and logistical considerations, we have made the decision to officially relocate Commencement 2026 to the Elkford Arena. While this was not our original plan, we are confident that this venue will allow us to provide a safe, comfortable, and memorable celebration for our graduates and their families.

We would like to extend our thanks to the District of Elkford for their support, partnership and cooperation throughout this process. Their willingness to work alongside us has helped ensure that our graduates will still receive the celebration they deserve despite the challenges our community is currently facing.

While a change in venue is not ideal, our focus remains on celebrating the accomplishments, perseverance, and success of the Class of 2026. We appreciate the patience, flexibility, and support shown by our students, families, staff, and community throughout this situation.

We look forward to coming together at the Elkford Arena to honour and celebrate our graduates.

Remember, 10:30 AM on June 25th, 2026 at the Elkford Arena! We hope to see you there to celebrate with us!
