SUMMER SNACK PROGRAM

Registration opens tomorrow, Wednesday July 22 @ 9am!

*Please read the entire post carefully*
-This program is for those with children ages Pre-Primary 4 years to 18 years (still in high school, not graduated this year).
-This program is for families living in the East Hants Corridor area.
-Registration opens every Wednesday morning at 9:00 am and runs until Friday afternoon at 3:00pm; or until full. We will post on socials when we fill up.
-The only way to register is by phone. 902 883 4349
-You are only able to register for your immediate household.
-Registration is weekly- meaning that you must register each week you wish to receive a bag.
-Pick up days are Tuesdays (9:00 am-3:00pm). If you are unable to pick up yourself, you can have someone else pick up for you, just let us know.
-If you miss a pick up, we will hold the bag until Friday of the same week, after that we will have to move it along.
-We are unable to accommodate allergies or other dietary needs.

If you’re spending time in the car, driving to soccer/baseball, the beach, or some other place, playing games that promote “oral language” is a great way to kill some time and sneak in some talk time! Here are two ideas for games in the car, including this link to some kids trivia questions.

There are several family friendly events happening in our community tomorrow to celebrate Canada Day. Could be a fun way to kick start the summer!

Fahim and Golam, from the Bangladesh Community Association of Nova Scotia, kindly shared an introduction to the game of cricket with all of our classes today during physical education. Students were excited to practise batting and learn more about the sport.

A big thank you to the Lifesaving Society of Nova Scotia for sharing their Swim to Survive classroom lessons with all of our students. As we enter our summer vacation, students are well equipped with important safety lessons related to wearing a PFD and swimming near a buddy.
