I know thatâs not a popular thing to say, especially this time of year, but itâs true.
If youâve been dreading the start of the school year, if youâve been feeling like something isnât right for your child, or if youâre wondering whether there might be another option, this is your reminder that you have one.
Homeschooling isnât the right choice for every family, but itâs a real option for more families than they realize. You donât have to keep doing something simply because itâs what everyone else does.
We were told homeschooling wasnât realistic. We were told our kids would fall behind. We were told they needed a traditional classroom.
None of those things turned out to be true for our family.
If youâve been thinking about homeschooling, even just a little, donât ignore that feeling. Ask questions. Do your research. Talk to families who are actually doing it.
Whatever you decide, make the decision thatâs best for your childânot the one that feels expected.
