What a summer it's been so far! Our campers have shown up every day with big ideas, bold questions and even bigger energy.

Now we're excited to kick off our first Minecraft: Mission to Mars week, starting tomorrow, July 20!

Campers become space engineers, habitat designers and planetary scientists as they prepare humanity's first sustainable colony on Mars — using Minecraft Education, 3D printing, micro:bit technology and real NASA-inspired challenges. From prototyping rovers to engineering water-purification systems, every build brings them one step closer to a functioning Mars colony.

Week one is a wrap! Thank you to all of our amazing, adventurous, curious campers who joined us to kick off an amazing camp season!

Next up: We’re rollercoastering into LEGO: Theme Park Fun!

From July 13-17 our campers will enter the thrilling world of amusement-park engineering, creative design and imaginative problem-solving! Together, we’ll create a brand-new theme park—designing rides, games, interactive zones, smart systems, and showtime attractions using LEGO bricks, LEGO SPIKE Essential, LEGO Prime and 3D printing.

By merging creativity with engineering, campers discover how STEAM professionals— from ride engineers to animators to robotics designers—work together to build the amusement parks we love.

By the end of the week, each group contributes to a fully built Camp STEAM Carnival!
PLUS we’ll embark on an official Recordsetter LEGO World Record Challenge.

🚀 Liftoff! 🚀

Camp STEAM Week 1 is up and running — and Minecraft: Space Expedition is officially underway!

ISS modules are being designed, Micro:bits are being programmed, and at least one camper has already decided they're going to Mars (how amazing would that be?!)

We love it here and are so excited to be back into camp season

📣 Last call! Week 1 of Camp STEAM starts this Monday — and a few spots are still available at select sites! 📣

Starting July 6th, during Minecraft: Space Expedition, campers become space engineers! We're talking real ISS module prototypes, Micro:bit coding missions, solar energy experiments — and a chance to have their actual code run aboard the International Space Station through the ESA's Astro Pi program.

(Yes, really. In space!)

Every single one of those breakthroughs started the same way — with someone who refused to stop asking "but what if?"

That's the spirit we bring to Camp STEAM every single day.

Happy Canada Day to all the curious kids, relentless tinkerers, and future world-changers out there.

We can't wait to get messy with you this summer. 😜

Getting ready for camp? A little preparation goes a long way toward making sure your camper has an amazing week!

Here are a few essentials to pack each day:
☀️ Reusable water bottle
🧢 Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray
👟 Closed-toe shoes for activities
💦 Water shoes, swimsuit, and towel for water games
🍎 Nut-free lunch and snacks
🧺 A plastic bag for wet clothes and towels

We recommend dressing for the weather and packing a change of clothes, especially since campers may enjoy water activities throughout the day.

One more tip: Leave toys, cell phones, smart watches, and other electronics at home so campers can focus on making friends, exploring, creating, and having fun!

First-day jitters aren’t just for campers — parents feel better too when they know what the day ahead will look like.

One of the questions we hear most often is: “What does a typical camp day include... and how much screen time is there?”

At Camp STEAM, we believe summer camp should be all about balance. While some of our themes include coding, robotics, technology, and LEGO/Minecraft-inspired activities, campers spend their days enjoying a mix of:

✅ Hands-on STEAM challenges
✅ Creative building and making
✅ Outdoor games and activities
✅ Collaborative team projects
✅ Tech-based learning experiences

In fact, many of our favourite camp moments happen completely off-screen — from engineering challenges and science experiments to creative problem-solving games and outdoor fun.
