🍂 Apparently, leaves belong on trees… even after they fall off. 😄🌳

A little glue, a handful of crunchy autumn leaves, and plenty of creativity turned into our very own fall masterpieces. Safe to say, autumn has officially made its way into the LPA classroom! 🍁✨

🐄🫧 Scrub, rinse, dry… and ready for game day! 🧡💙

Our little ones gave their farm animals a well-deserved bath, getting hands-on with bubbly sensory play while practicing care, independence, and everyday life skills.

Now that everyone’s squeaky clean, there’s only one thing left to do… get ready for Oilers season tomorrow! 🏒🙌

🔥 Building a campfire… Montessori style. 🪵

A few stones, a few wooden pieces, and one very focused little builder. Activities like this give children the freedom to plan, arrange, balance and problem-solve using natural materials — turning their own ideas into something they can see and touch.

No instructions for where every piece “should” go. Just hands-on exploration, concentration, and a little imagination around the campfire. 🏕️

🍓 A little basket with a whole lot of learning inside! 🍇🍌

Picking each fruit, matching the colours and carefully placing every piece into her basket turns a simple craft into a chance to practice fine motor control, coordination and decision-making.

And judging by that concentration… fruit basket business is serious business at LPA. 😂🧺

🐄 Moo-ve over, we’ve got some serious crafting to do! 😂

Adding the eyes, finding the perfect spot for every spot, and bringing our little cows to life — all while those busy fingers are building fine motor skills and learning more about the animals we find on the farm.

A little creativity, a little concentration, and one very cute cow later. 🤍🖤

🍩 Donut worry… the mess is part of the learning! 😂

Shaving cream + donut “sprinkles” made for the perfect sensory setup at LPA. Little hands got to squish, scoop, stack and create while exploring different textures and strengthening fine motor skills along the way.

Because sometimes the best learning is the kind that requires rolling up your sleeves. ✨

A house built with little hands and a BIG plan. 🏠👏

Choosing materials, figuring out what fits, balancing each piece and making adjustments when something doesn’t quite work — there’s a lot happening behind this creation!

Through hands-on activities like this, our LPA learners explore textures, shapes, balance and spatial awareness, while strengthening concentration, independence and problem-solving along the way.

The Montessori magic is often in the process, not just the finished product. 💛

Tuesday? At LPA, we call it Mardi! 🇫🇷

French becomes part of the everyday here — from learning les jours de la semaine to hearing and using new words throughout familiar routines.

No flashcards. No memorizing a list. Just little minds picking up a new language naturally, one mardi at a time. 💜

It might look like she’s just pouring water… but those little hands are doing a whole lot more. 💧

Pouring is a classic Montessori practical life activity that helps children develop fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, concentration and independence — all through something they’re naturally excited to do themselves.

And yes, a little water on the table is part of the process. 😂

Learning to say, “I can do it myself,” starts with moments just like this. 💛
