Welcome back, we’ve missed you!

Hi everyone,

Our team has been thinking of ideas about what we can do for our next event, especially one that encourages everyone to participate and emphasizes our original mission. However with the arrival of our unforgiving winter weather and the holiday season approaching around the corner, we thought it would be a good idea to find some way to give back to the community. There are two opportunities that we want to prioritize - Hope Mission or the Food Bank. Both are charities that support countless individuals from our homeless or impoverished communities, and there is more information at the bottom detailing each organization.

We want to make the decision on which opportunity to support based on what our youth is more interested in! This will be sometime in December, after we gather some input. Oh, and everyone is welcomed! It’s a great way to bond, get to know each other in a different environment or to simply put a smile on someone's face. We can also provide references, not to mention this is also great for volunteering hours! If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please fill out/sign up/let us know and we’ll contact you for availability once everything is figured out.

Food Bank- Whether it is sorting donated food; packing hampers; repacking food or baby products; driving a truck; swamping with drivers; wrapping pallets; building bulk orders; or sweeping the floor, volunteers are the heartbeat of the warehouse. Opportunities are available for individuals 14 years or older and groups of up to 20 people.

Hope Mission- A non-profit Christian social care agency caring for impoverished homeless men, women and children in Alberta. Volunteering at this charity includes preparing, serving and cleaning up meals.
