Zoe's skilled in Public Speaking. 🥳 Here’s why SHE'S :

“What makes me is the fact that I am one of the few people with a disability (dwarfism) who has competed at the Skills Competitions. I know in my life I will be the first or one of the few to ever do things with a disability. Being able to represent the disabled community makes me proud.” —Zoe Elverum

Zoe is currently in her last year of high school and is still considering all of her career options. She has a keen interest in social media marketing, as well as transportation (shipping and aviation).

Advice for career seekers: Always follow your heart! To youth with disabilities, you will have to adapt constantly but hopefully as time goes on, society will adapt to us as well.

Zoe est actuellement dans sa dernière année d’école secondaire et envisage toujours toutes ses options de carrière. Elle s'intéresse vivement au marketing des médias sociaux, ainsi qu'au transport (livraison et aérien).

Conseils pour les personnes à la recherche d'une carrière: Suivez toujours votre cœur ! Pour les jeunes handicapés, vous devrez vous adapter constamment, mais j’espère qu'avec le temps, la société s'adaptera à nous aussi.

I was fortunate to represent at my second National Skills Canada competition in 2021 (albeit virtually). I have continued to learn and strengthen my skills since then, and I hope I can share with you the tips and tricks I gained as a two-time territorial medalist and national competitor!
