Friends do this

If we’re not friends yet, you can go ahead and hit FOLLOW 😉😆

I had a client tell me last week that Chat GPT has given her some great scripts for what to say when her kids fight.

That’s great! Use what you got.

But the thing is: unless Chat GPT is trained on my frameworks, it’s not going to give you a full picture plan of what will actually reduce sibling fighting.

Because you need to understand WHY the fights are happening, WHY you’re always the referee when they fight, WHY your current plan is failing and WHY you should use certain scripts.

Otherwise it’s just more jumbled information in your brain that you can’t use in the heat of the moment.

You can grab my free Sibling Fight Action plan to get started (and check out my Sibling programs for more)

Can we just simplify this?

Our kids behaviour seems complicated. And parents like to search for the one thing that will change THIS behaviour you are seeing in this moment of time.

A child who doesn’t listen, who gets upset over every little thing, who pushes back, slams doors, says rude things, fights with a sibling…

It doesn’t matter what your child’s behaviour is, this is a universal truth: when we feel good, we can do good.

Put aside all of the things you are doing to fix, stop, control and change the behaviour, and focus on your relationship. That’s it.

Do that, and only that, for a month and report back 😉💕

Tell me in the comments if this concept seems to simple to work.

When “just breath” doesn’t work!

I love to chat with my clients about anger. First of all, because I consider myself a recovering yelling mom.

Yes, this is my waterfall metaphor, and YES you should share it with your kids. It can really help them visualize the concept of “catching” their anger before it’s too late.

Tell me if this idea is helpful for you.💕

If you want a great resource for calming ideas, games, tools and strategies for anger, grab my Anger Toolkit!

It’s a 35 page downloadable booklet for your kids to understand, recognize and manage anger before it explodes.

Seeing your child hit their sibling is probably one of the hardest parenting moments.

You might feel angry, protective, resentful, hopeless, worried, frustrated and sad all at once.

Aggression between siblings can often be about more than just a lack of impulse control. It can be hurt feelings underneath that have nowhere to go.

The aggression continues when shame, resentment and jealousy build instead of skills. Your hitting child doesn’t want to be bad, they are struggling too.

The Sibling Hitting Method is a lesson from inside my full sibling program, now available on its own. This method will walk you through my signature CRIES Framework to understand hitting in a brand new way and give you exact instructions on what to do.
