When a woman comes back into relationship with her womb, it goes deeper than understanding her body (though that is essential, too).

It is the doorway to knowing herself , as well as every woman, and man who have existed within the womb of a woman.

When I sit with my own womb, I feel the pulse of many tethers that connect me with humanity ~ for the womb is the very fabric of all of life’s creation. I feel the womb of my mother, my grandmother, my sisters, and of the women I will never meet in this life. Those who also were the portal for humanity to emerge and become part of the reality I now live.

Their strength. Their struggles. Their joy. Their pain. Their liberation. Their bo***ge. Their love. Their sacrifice. Their heart.

The womb is the centre of life.
Where every single human being who has ever walked this earth has been carried, nourished, and birthed by a woman.

It leads me to ask…
Who is she? Who are these women? The ones who have contributed to my existence? The ones whose stories i hold in my womb?

As we become more in awe of the womb and the true portal that it is…we learn so much about our own nature, too.

We learn so much about Humanity as a whole.

As we do this, compassion, forgiveness, faith, and love become the obvious blueprint of the Mothers of this world.

I believe we could use more of this right now.

On this page I could give you more statistics and infographics about birth. I could show up to it like a business woman and complete my designated post for the day.

But that’s not how I show up for women. Not at all.

I show up in relationship with the layers of my own experience that have lead me there, to be able to be in rich devoted service to her.

Much like you, I feared birth and my womanhood more than anything for most of my life.

I dreamed of babies and being a mother, but similarly to how birth is often viewed now ~ I wanted to think as little about the process to get there.

I hated my bleed so much I have journal entries at 14 years old in rage that whoever made me like this was evil.

I thought birth was a curse and burden on women.

I prayed they would come up with a new way to deliver babies that knocked me out completely, mostly to save me from the embarrassment of strangers looking at my va**na.

I felt broken and confused, and quite frankly terrified for most of my life in this body ~ and there are still many areas that are healing.

It took me years of choosing to learn more, ask deeper questions, and turn inwards so I could let go of the fear I had accumulated.

And now as get closer to own journey of carrying life in this body (not pregnant…yet!) ~ I realize the GIFT it is to be a woman.

To create, sustain, birth, and nurture something from my own healthy vibrant body blows my MIND.

I have witnessed time and time again the transformation that happens in women when they move through the birth portal with this knowing of how sacred it is….it is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

I still have a ways to go…as this journey is far from linear, but I can honestly say at this point in my life I am so excited and grateful to be a woman, who gets to feel and experience it all. Who gets to bleed. Who gets to birth. Who gets to choose how to birth (without strangers looking at my va**na 😁)

I never knew I would meet this version of myself but I cry often that I have….and the undeniable ripple that it will have on the babies I birth.

God Bless our capacity for change and healing.

When asked WHY more women don’t support those in their lives through birth/motherhood, it wasn’t because they didn’t have time or didn’t want to…they answered that 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒉𝒐𝒘.

This is the inspiration for this education portal. To build confidence among women in their own communities to feel adequate and ready to show up in this way.

Becoming the Birthkeeper is for every woman who has ever had the desire to support and serve women in birth - including pregnancy, birth, postpartum, motherhood, as well as loss.

Whether you’re a mama who’s expecting a grandchild, a best friend/sister who can’t wait to become an auntie, or a woman who is being called to serve her community….this is for you.

This is a space where you will learn how to hold this space for others in a way that is informed, nourishing, loving, and grounded.

I have no doubt that more supported and celebrated mothers WILL, & IS changing the world.

Send me a message to get started!

With a loving and excited heart,

Michelle

Many women come to me with an experience of disconnect, shame, fear, confusion and sadness about their experience with birth (includes abortion, miscarriage & live birth), as well as medicalized reproductive intervention (routine testing, ultrasound, cervical biopsy, IUD insertion…etc). We have been taught to bow down to the system that serves us and not question what occurs and how it truly impacts us and our connection to our bodies.

The truth is… YOUR lived experience matters.

What you feel in your body matters.

How you perceive these events matters.

And it is all deeply remembered by your beautiful vessel.

Maybe this is you…

+ The one who had a ‘successful birth’ but is still feeling disconnected from her birthing experience

+ The one who has been replaying scenarios over and over to try and make sense of what happened

+ The one who was afraid to speak up and was left feeling unsafe in her body

+ The one who feels in her bones that something was taken from her but is afraid to ask what/why

+ The one who is is struggling to piece together her experience

+ The one who doesn’t know who to talk to about it for fear of being ‘selfish’ or ‘dramatic’ or ‘too much’

+ The one who feels guilty and unforgiving of her own self for what occurred

+ The one who questions herself and no longer trusts her body

+ The one who has been told “so many women go through this ~ its normal”

+ The one who feels angry, triggered, upset, or numb when she thinks about her experience

If any of these are felt in your body, it is time to unburden yourself. Many of these experiences are treated as ‘normal’. Trauma is NOT normal ~ it has been normalized.

It is time to REBIRTH.

I am able to serve you, as I AM you too ~ May we rise together in sacred acknowledgment love acceptance and forgiveness.
