We could not be prouder of our amazing students from across Ontario. Over the past nine months, they have brought so much dedication, curiosity, and hard work to their studies. More than anything, we are inspired by the deep, thoughtful, and great conversations that filled our virtual classrooms. From tackling big philosophical questions to exploring history and culture through a Jewish lens, these students showed up every week ready to listen, debate, and grow together.

What is a Reach-Ahead credit, and why should Grade 8 students take one?

Authorized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, the Reach Ahead program allows Grade 8 students to take our online Grade 10 Canadian History course and log it toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) before high school officially begins!

The Reach Ahead Program is a fabulous opportunity for Grade 8 students to:

☻Reduce the academic demand in their first year of high school by already having completed a mandatory course;
☻Ease the transition from elementary to secondary schooling;
☻Complete a compulsory course prior to the start of high school, allowing greater choice of elective courses to enrich their learning experience.

Thankfully, there is Adraba, Ontario’s only Ministry-accredited online Jewish high school open to all students from Toronto to Timmins, Sarnia to Sudbury, secular to Orthodox, and everywhere in between. We welcome students from interfaith, mixed-heritage, and multicultural Jewish families!

🍁 (CHC2D) Canadian History Since World War 1 (Available in English or French)

How did Canada become the country we know today? We'll explore this question through the stories and events often overlooked by traditional Canadian history courses. Jews came to Canada as immigrants and, in many instances, saw sports (of all things!) as a way to feel more at home. As we delve into these stories, we'll explore how social, economic and political changes impact the lives and identities of all Canadians.

🍁CHC2D begins in October 2026
🍁We meet twice a week for 25 weeks, with all Jewish and civil holidays off.
🍁Homework assignments drop in Google Classroom at the beginning of each month and are due at the end of the month. Select one (or two, depending on the month) that interests you most. There are no exams or tests!
