Good morning everyone!
We have reached the last day of the 2022-2023 school year. Just a reminder of our year end assembly and awards ceremony taking place today, doors open at 10am and we are hoping to get started by 10:15am and this is open to the public. Early dismissal at 12:30pm.
We recommend students bring some snacks/lunch as todays schedule is a little different and they may need a little snack before and/or after the assembly.

Good morning everyone!
Can you believe we are to the end of the 2022-2023 school year? What an incredible year it as been.
Please note that there will be an early dismissal tomorrow at 12:30pm.
Tomorrow morning will be our end of year assembly and year end awards ceremony. We are happy to open this event to our families, school community and general public. Doors will open at 10:00am with the event aiming to start ar 10:15am. Following the event students will return to their homerooms to recieve their report cards.
This will also be the last opportunity to purchase tickets on our 1/2 day tour through Hare Bay adevntures in support of our greenspace development.

What a fantastic day at Ken Diamond Memorial Park on our year end field trip! the kids had an absolute blast!
It’s our year end field trip day!
Students must have permission slips and $5 passed in to go on the trip. Lunch (bbq hotdogs)/snacks and bottle of water provided. Suppose to be a great day weather wise. I would recommend dressing in layers.

Last stop on day 2 was The Rooms! We found the giant squid from Hare Bay!!
Grace 9 trip Day 2 stop 1: Geo centre and signal hill! We even found the Dover fault!
Last night the grade 9’s enjoyed some escape rooms, explored the MUNnel system, some of the different buildings at MUN and the large blue whale display in the new Science building. We stayed at Burke residence and had a bit of fun and food to end off night 1

Just a reminder to families that we are closed tomorrow, May 18th and Friday, May 19th for professional learning sessions as well as Monday, May 22nd for Victoria Day.

Attention parents of students in grade 6 and 7
The re-scheduled meeting for the Quebec trip in 2025 will take place this Wednesday, 6:00 pm at WMA. This is an informational meeting for anyone who would like to know more about the trip before saying yes or no. There is no obligation to commit to the trip until after this meeting.

The year is winding down quickly and we would like to inform you of some closures we have coming up.
We will be closed for professional learning (PL) days on Thursday, May 18th and Friday, May 19th. We are also closed Monday, May 22nd for Victoria day.
On May 31st, we will be doing an early dismissal. We will be dismissing students at 1:15pm.
OTHER IMPORTANT DATES:
June 1st - Kindergrad
June 8th - Spring concert
June 9th - 4th (and final) kinderstart session. NO SCHOOL for kindergarten students
June 15th - Grade 9 school leaving ceremony

Congratulations to the girls grades 5-7 Mustang team! They represented their school well at the Mini-Volley Jamboree and a great time was had by all! Special thanks go out to our older Mustang volunteers who came to support and help with reffing and scoring. Way to go Mustangs! We are so proud of you!
