School of Dirt

The School of Dirt is a non-union environment. (As of Labour Day 2018, at least.)

The boys are in business! Come on down for homegrown pumpkins and easy carving and decorating kits that are (almost) as entertaining as the staff.

In fluffy soil, it's a "rototiller." In Peace Country clay sod in a drought, it's a "tootholooser."

Some have difficulty ignoring the shiny lottery tickets that call out "your problems will be solved" when their wise mind says "gambling is a hopeless tax on poor me."

And then there are those of us who, after first frost in September, walk past the seed packets and hear voices pleading, "...but there's sunshine in the forecast!"

Is rosehip jelly worth the effort for the bird at Christmas dinner, or should we cut out the middleman and feed the rosehips to the chickens, who seem to appreciate them, and eat the pre-jellied chicken at Christmas?

(In fact, we bet they're at least 10 times lauder than your kids.)
