A new, completely free French-language soccer program, "The Kick-Off!" Launched by the United Dartmouth Football Club (UDFC): "The Kickoff: A Francofolie Soccer Initiative."

This French-immersive soccer program is specifically designed for youth aged 8 to 11 in the Dartmouth region. Established thanks to a grant from Soccer Nova Scotia as part of the "IDEA" initiative (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility), our goal is to allow young people to hone their technical skills while participating in an enriching cultural exchange. Great news: thanks to our funding, the program is entirely FREE!

Registration opens Monday, June 1. Please email [email protected] with any questions!

🌱🇫🇷 The French Footprints Parent Resource Hub helps families introduce French to young children through fun, play-based, and engaging activities. Early exposure to language learning supports social, emotional, and academic success—and builds a strong foundation for a smooth start to school. Why not give children every possible advantage by opening the door to a bilingual future?

Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕 Today we’re celebrating love in all its forms—family, friendship, community, and the joy of learning together. A little kindness (and maybe a little French!) goes a long way.

//

Joyeuse Saint-Valentin ! 💕 Aujourd’hui, on célèbre l’amour sous toutes ses formes : la famille, l’amitié, la communauté et le plaisir d’apprendre ensemble. Un peu de gentillesse (et un peu de français!) fait toujours chaud au cœur. 💌

Is Friday the 13th unlucky… or lucky? 👀 In French culture, it’s both! Some see it as a spooky day, others as a lucky one — what do you think?

//

Vendredi 13 : jour de malchance… ou de chance ? 🍀

We were thrilled that over 65 people—including lots of littles!—for a joyful, high-energy celebration of French learning through music and movement at Razzmatazz en français ✨🎉

There was moving, grooving, shaking, and plenty of giggles as kids (and grown-ups!) jumped right in. The energy in the room was contagious and a beautiful reminder that learning French can be fun, playful, and confidence-building—especially when it’s rooted in song and motion.

Events like this perfectly reflect what Canadian Parents for French stands for: creating positive, engaging experiences that support language learning and help kids build an early, joyful connection to French.

Thank you to all the families who came out and made the afternoon so special—we loved seeing the community show up, sing along, and learn together. 💙
More fun en français to come… stay tuned! 🇨🇦🇫🇷
